HP 37717C is a modular and portable communications performance analyzer under the Omniber 717C series, with a rate coverage of 704 kb/s to 622 Mb/s (OC-12/STM-4). Designed for performance testing of T-carrier, PDH, SONET/SDH, ATM and other communication systems, it adopts a multi-slot modular architecture, supports flexible configuration of optical/electrical interfaces, and enables multi-dimensional testing including jitter, alarm and frame structure analysis, adapting to communication equipment R&D, network operation and maintenance, and production line quality verification scenarios.

• Rate & Test Range: Supports 704 kb/s to 622 Mb/s testing, covering T-carrier, PDH (0.7/2/8/34/140 Mb/s), SONET/SDH (OC-1/STM-0 to OC-12/STM-4) and ATM multi-standard communication signals, adapting to multi-generation communication system testing needs.

• Modularity & Expandability: Includes 1 dedicated optical interface slot, 1 printer/remote control module slot and 8 universal interface/measurement slots, which can be flexibly matched with dedicated modules for PDH, SDH, ATM and jitter to build customized test systems on demand.

• Core Testing Capabilities: Supports frame structure analysis, overhead manipulation, alarm detection (AIS/FAS, etc.), jitter measurement & generation, frequency offset tolerance testing, compatible with ITU-T G.821/G.826 standards, providing comprehensive communication performance evaluation.

• Operation & Control: Equipped with an easy-to-read color display, supporting graphical timestamped event display and screen printing; optional RS-232C, GPIB interfaces for remote control and integration into automated test processes.
